What is an AI web developer?
An AI web developer builds websites using artificial intelligence to do the repetitive work — writing the code, drafting the copy, generating and cutting images, and testing every page — while a human decides what the site has to achieve and checks it before it goes live.
It is not the same as an AI website builder. A builder hands you a template and leaves you to fill it in. An AI web developer hands you a finished site, built for your trade, that somebody is accountable for.

The honest split. It is the first thing anyone sensible asks, and it is the thing that decides whether the site is any good.
Writes the code
Every page is hand-built HTML and CSS rather than a theme, so it carries only what it needs.
Drafts the words
A first draft of every page, from your own material — then checked line by line against what you actually told me.

Illustration, diagrams and cut-outs generated and edited, so a page is not waiting on a photo shoot.

Every page is measured at 1440, 1024, 768 and 390 pixels, every link followed, and every colour checked for legibility before you see it.

All prices are per month and exclude VAT, which is added at 20%. Twelve months minimum, then monthly.
Extra email addresses are £7.50 each a month and another 50GB of email storage is £10 a month.

The questions behind the search
What people are really asking
Will AI replace web developers?
It has already replaced most of the typing. A page that took a day to hand-code takes a fraction of that now, and the parts nobody enjoyed — boilerplate, responsive fiddling, cutting images to size — are largely gone.
What it has not replaced is judgement. An AI does not know that your busiest month is March, that the thing you make money on is the repair work rather than the sales, or that the figure on your old site was wrong. It will reproduce a mistake beautifully. Deciding what the site has to do, and whether what it says is true, is the job.
How is an AI web developer different from an AI website builder?
A builder is software. You sign up, pick a template, answer some questions and it assembles something. Then the work starts: the copy, the photographs, the pages it did not think of, and every change for the next five years.
Hiring a developer who uses AI means the site arrives finished and built for your trade, and when you want the price list changed you send a message instead of learning an editor. The difference is not the technology. It is who is accountable when a page is wrong.
Does using AI make the website cheaper?
It makes it quicker, and that is why a proper site can be £69 a month with the hosting and the domain in it rather than a few thousand up front. The saving is in the making, not in the caring.
What it does not do is make a site free. Someone still has to understand your trade, decide what goes on the page, check it and keep it running.
Can you tell a site was built with AI?
You can usually tell when nobody checked it. The tells are invented facts, copy that could describe any business in the country, stock photographs of people who do not work there, and a page that says a great deal without telling you a price or a place.
A site built with AI and then actually read says what the business does, where it is, and what it charges. Every site listed on this page is that, and they are all live, so you can judge for yourself.

What you do, where you do it, and the things only you know — your prices if you want them shown, your hours, the jobs you would rather not get called about. Photographs of your own work if you have them.
You do not need to write anything. Answering questions is enough; the drafting is my end. Nothing goes live until you have read it.

Is the whole site made by AI, with nobody looking at it?
No. AI writes the code and the first draft of the words, and it will confidently invent a price or an opening time if you let it. Every fact on a site I build comes from you, and I check it before anyone else sees it.
Will AI replace web developers?
It has already replaced most of the typing. What it has not replaced is the person deciding what the site needs to do, whether a claim on it is true, and what to cut. That is the part a business is actually buying.
How is this different from Wix, Squarespace or an AI website builder?

Am I allowed to edit the site myself?
You can if you want it — two Birmingham schools update their own documents and diary dates. Most trades would rather not, so changes come through me and get done properly.
